2001-2003. Led CDC’s Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Program’s technology response to 9/11, anthrax, West Nile, SARS, monkeypox, ricin, and other international emergencies; received Health and Human Services Secretary’s Award in 2002 for anthrax response the year prior; nominated as Federal Employee of the Year for NCID and shared similar award for SARS and monkeypox response in 2004. Directed advanced “SWAT” team of 21+ technology professionals focused on technology efforts for BT response starting in 2000 with subsequent promotions.
